Background: Formed in Fullerton, Orange County, California, USA, in the summer of 1978. A superb punk rock debut, that revealed more cohesion and tradition than the band's immediate peers, with a sound tracing its heritage back to the Rolling Stones as much as the Sex Pistols. It seemed that Social Distortion had all the ingredients to popularize hardcore. With their new album on the street and their new drummer pushing the rhythm, Social Distortion will begin a major US tour. "We're just anxious to play right now," says Mike Ness. "We've been locked in the studio for a year. Now we wanna get out and show everybody what we're about."
